In February 2025, SEVENCRANE received an inquiry from a manufacturing company in Spain for a 5-ton steel portable gantry crane. The customer, who serves as the company’s production manager, needed a reliable lifting solution for handling heavy components inside their workshop. Due to the Chinese New Year holiday, our sales team immediately replied to the inquiry and honestly informed the customer that a detailed quotation could not be provided before February 20.
The customer appreciated our prompt response and professionalism and kindly agreed to extend the quotation deadline until February 27. As soon as our team returned to work on February 25, we prepared a complete proposal, including the technical solution, quotation, product drawings, and the certificates requested by the customer.
During the technical discussions, the customer specifically requested that the steel portable gantry crane be equipped with a steering wheel system instead of standard fixed casters. This special configuration would allow the crane to move more flexibly within the workshop and improve handling efficiency in narrow working areas. Our engineering team quickly evaluated the requirement and confirmed that the customized solution could fully meet the customer’s operational needs.
In early March, we held an online meeting with the customer to answer several technical questions regarding the steering wheel design, load capacity, wheel material, and safety features. The customer was very satisfied with our professional explanations and informed us that the project still needed to go through an internal budget approval process.
Over the following weeks, we maintained close communication and regularly followed up on the project’s progress. At the end of March, the customer contacted us again and asked whether there was room for a discount in order to secure internal approval. After careful consideration, we offered a special discount as a gesture of support for this first cooperation.
The customer also had concerns about the production and delivery schedule because the equipment was urgently needed for their workshop expansion project. We provided a detailed production plan and delivery timeline, which helped eliminate their concerns.
After confirming all technical and commercial details, the customer officially placed the order. This successful cooperation once again demonstrated our ability to provide customized lifting solutions, rapid responses, and professional technical support to customers around the world.
